"Witty, sexy as all hell, and addictive like no other, Staci Hart BRINGS IT with Bad Penny."
-T.M. Frazier, USA Today Bestselling Author

Bad Penny, an all-new romantic comedy standalone from Staci Hart is now LIVE!

Nothing good comes after the third date.

See, date three is the crucial point when things get real, which is exactly why I bounce out the door, twiddling my fingers at whatever poor boy I’ve left behind. Because if I stick around, one of three things will happen: he’ll profess his undying love, he gets weird and stalky, or I’ll go crazy. Like, Sid and Nancy crazy. Like, chase-him-through-the-streets-begging-him-to-love-me crazy.

Seriously, it’s better for everyone this way.

So when I meet Bodie, I figure it’ll be the same as it ever was. It doesn’t matter that he doesn’t put a single string on me. Doesn’t matter that he’s funny and smart and jacked and can play my body like a grand piano. Because even though I’m built for love, love has only carved me up like a Christmas ham.

Resistance is something I can only hang on to for so long, and he has persistence in spades. But my heart isn’t as safe as I want to believe, and neither is his. And the second I ignore my cardinal rule is the second I stand to lose him forever.

After breaking my heart with A Thousand Letters, Staci Hart did an 180 with Bad Penny, I wasn't expecting it to be a RomCom with an emotional twist and I fell hard for Penny and Bodie! I'm talking about MATH kind of HARD.

And of course, this kind of hard :p
. Penny's viewpoint on relationships has been ruined after the bad breakup with her ex, she does not do commitment nor does she believes in an HEA. NO. Sex is all fun and games until someone gets too attached. That was the reason why Penny came up with the three date rule, never stick around after the third date.

Until Bodie.

Bodie was a blast from the past. Someone she never expected to see, someone she did not recognize, someone who tempted her to take a chance on happily-ever-after.

Their chemistry was off-the-charts hot! Intense, sexy and drool-worthy, I was screaming and flipping through my Kindle like a mad woman on a mission. What I loved most is that Bodie is incredibly sweet and understanding for giving Penny the space she needs to overcome her insecurities. And Penny. Oh My Penny. You are not crazy, gurl. I love that your hair is always in a striking shade, I love the crap that you spew out of your mouth (like the lips and nipples correlation) and even when you are battling Peggy, your inner alter ego, I loved your vulnerability.

I love Penny and Bodie's story, I hope you laughed and loved as much as I did too!

Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life -- a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can't forget that. She's also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife, though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey. From roots in Houston to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. They are new enough that snow is still magical. When she's not writing, she's reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.

"The best and only way to kick off summer, devouring The Last Guy and then doing it all over again because it's just that good."
-- #1New York Times Bestselling Author Rachel Van Dyken

THE LAST GUY
By Ilsa Madden-Mills and Tia Louise
Publication Date: June 12th
Genre: Contemporary Romance/Romantic Comedy

The first rule of office romance is don’t do it—especially if your dream is to hold the anchor spot on the nightly news and your boss is trying to get you fired.

But one look at Cade Hill, the sexy new sports director, and uptight reporter Rebecca Fieldstone is daydreaming about other things.

Sex in his office…

Sex in the on-set kitchen…

Sex in the supply closet…

She can’t stop thinking about the former NFL quarterback and how perfect he’d look between her sheets—except he’s an arrogant jerk with a huge… ego.

He’s the last guy she’d ever have a one-night stand with.

Cade Hill draws a thick professional line on office romance—until it comes to the hyper-focused Rebecca. He wants her, and he gets his wish when a chance encounter has them having the hottest sex of their lives.

It’s just a hook-up, she says.

When can we do it again? he says.

With Rebecca determined to keep Cade in the friend zone, it’s going to be an uphill battle for Cade to convince her he’s the last guy she’ll ever want.

THE LAST GUY is the first white-hot CONTEMPORARY ROMANTIC COMEDY from Wall Street Journal bestselling author Ilsa Madden-Mills and Tia Louise. It features Fireball-fueled hookups, Doritos Locos Tacos, attack monkeys, toddlers in tiaras, and one fabulous drag queen. Prepare for frantic clicking (or page flipping!) and smoking-hot sexytimes all the way to the out-of-this-world happily-ever-after.

Office Rom-Com with a side of a well-toned backside. The Last Guy was a hilarious read that will guarantee to sweep you off your feet and swoon with the promise of a good read!

The chemistry between Cade and Rebecca was explosive, I'm not kidding when I say there are moments when their intensity made me blushed redder than a tomato. I love that the story wasn't your typical boss turned lover story, the fact that it started with Rebecca hating on Cade and to eventually caving into his irresistible charm (and beard) made their story so much sweeter. Cade, despite Rebecca's assumption of him being a pompous jerk with a huge ego, turned out to be an incredible gentleman with a heart of gold.

Rebecca Stone, on the other hand, is a role model. Her drive and passion for her career were genuinely inspiring and I hated it when her boss picked on her countless times. Not to mention the fact that she was so in tune with her emotions, I love that she showed both strength and vulnerability. I would make Rebecca my BFF anytime!

"The dream is not a destination, but a journey."

As much as I loved Cade and Stone's romance, I do wish that the authors explored more of Cade's career and background as it would make me more invested in Cade's role in the company. I also wanted to delve deeper into Cade's relationship with his dad as I think it would play a huge role on his character.

I'm having more fun with this office romance than I expected and I haven't read anything as good since Trust in Advertising!

P.S. Man in suits. SWOON.

One S’more Summer
Beth Merlin
(The Campfire Series, #1)
Published by: Ink Monster LLC
Publication date: May 30th 2017
Genres: Adult, Contemporary

If you love Sophie Kinsella and Emily Giffin, you’ll love this heartwarming debut from a fresh voice in contemporary chick-lit that offers a lighthearted and fun take on friendship, love, and how to recover from past mistakes.

For twenty long years, Gigi Goldstein has been pining away for her best friend’s guy. She knows it’s wrong and it has to stop, but she hasn’t been able to let go ever since they all met on the bus to summer camp back when they were 7 years old. The same week that her best friends finally announce their wedding date, Gigi loses her high-profile design job. With all of her dreams unravelling, she runs to the last place she remembers being happy.

Taking the Head Counselor position at Camp Chinooka, Gigi hopes to reclaim the joy she felt as a camper, but the job isn’t all campfire songs and toasting marshmallows. Gigi’s girls are determined to make her look bad in front of the boys’ Head Counselor—the sexy but infuriating Perry—and every scrap of the campground is laced with memories.

When Gigi finally realizes she can’t escape the present by returning to her past, she’s forced to reexamine her life and find the true meaning of love. But will she be able to mend fences and forgive herself before she loses her one real shot at happiness?

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of One S'more Summer provided by Xpresso Book Tours and the author. Thank you for the reviewing opportunity!

The thing about camp books, they always seem to have an essence of youth. While I've never actually been to a summer camp when I was younger, I've had my fair share of movies and books to familiarize myself with the setting. So everything about Camp Chinooka was fun and heartwarming, albeit being in the middle of nowhere. I was actually looking forward to what Gordy has in stores for us, the campers next! I liked the author's writing as she perfectly sets the mood for the story.

While I expected this to be a book about summer flings and second chances romance, I never once expected to be so invested and caught up in the depth of the story. Part of me was present in Camp Chinooka while the other part of me was entangled in the mess Gigi has gotten herself into in New York. The author does have a way in writing the plot that makes the flow comes so naturally, despite alternating between the two settings.

I also love the fact that the story wasn't the typical summer camp romance and it goes beyond that stereotype. I loved that it also focused on Gigi's friendship with Alicia and Joshua, how all of them struggled with the guilt, how Perry slowly opened up, how Gigi handled the kids, and most importantly, how everything felt so real.

All in all, I really liked the story. It wasn't over the top but just exactlyright.

Beth Merlin has a BA from The George Washington University where she minored in Creative Writing and a JD from New York Law School. She’s a native New Yorker who loves anything Broadway, rom-coms, her daughter Hadley, and a good maxi dress. She was introduced to her husband through a friend she met at sleepaway camp and considers the eight summers she spent there to be some of the most formative of her life. One S’more Summer is Beth’s debut novel.

Cheater's Regret
Rachel Van Dyken
(Curious Liasons #2)
Published by: SkyScape
Publication date: May 23rd 2017
Genres: Contemporary, Romance, New Adult

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Rachel Van Dyken returns with a smoking-hot story about the satisfaction of plotting revenge on your ex—until he turns your world upside down again.

Austin Rogers’s dreams of domestic bliss involved watching Netflix and eating hot dogs with the love of her life. But then he cheated on her. And dumped her—as if the whole thing was her fault. To maintain her pride and restore her sanity, she decides to get revenge. It feels immensely satisfying to plot her ex’s downfall—but so does kissing him.

Thatch Holloway, a plastic surgeon straight out of residency, knows he ruined the best thing that ever happened to him. But not all cheaters are created equal. He got himself into this messed-up situation—true—but he has his reasons for what happened, and he’d do it all again to protect Austin.

He’s not over her. And she’s not over him.

Austin wants closure, but since Thatch refuses to give it to her, she takes matters into her own hands. She needs to write a human-interest piece for her MBA, so she demands the full plastic-surgery experience. Sparks fly as they’re forced to work together. But Thatch isn’t afraid to play dirty in return. And he’s still hiding something—something that has the power to destroy not only Austin but their second chance at finding forever…

This is *whispers* my first book from Rachel, but she blew me away with her sense of humor in the form of the brilliant Austin Rogers.

OH, I hate cheating. I hate a disloyal man who couldn't stay true to their woman and blame it on them for the breakup. Which is why I hated Thatch at first. But, I'm also a strong believer in second chances romance, so I decided to give the book a try.

I could only say, the story swept me away like a hurricane and caught in between of a messy family drama.

Despite it all, oh God, I laughed too much my cheeks are going to split open even more!

I've never met someone with such obsession with Moutain Dew and Moon Pies. And also an irrational fear of frogs. Although the story was heartbreaking, Rachel has a way of lacing humor in every situation *cue Austin*. If there's one thing I enjoyed most is the banter between Austin and Thatch. I couldn't even bring myself to hate Thatch! But only at the situation he was forced into. It all worked out in the end though!

I've never fallen in love with a plastic surgeon before and everything was PERFECTION. I'm blushing just at the thought of his office. You just have to read to find out ;)

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. Thank you for the reviewing opportunity!

Publication date: May 16th 2017

Get ready to stop time, defy gravity and bring down the stars in this final book in Kate Evangelista’s Dodge Cove Trilogy!

Goodreads / Amazon / Barnes & Noble / iBooks / Kobo

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of No Second Chances provided by Xpresso Tours and the author! Thank you so much for making me laugh...and the reviewing opportunity :P

If you are looking for a light-hearted, funny read about second chances romance filled with grand gestures and Harry Potter obsession, look no further, you have arrived at the right destination.

Quick fun fact: My name is Natasha and my baby brother was almost named Nathan at birth! But... my mom thought otherwise and decided on Jarod. If you read the book, you'd also know that Natasha and Nathan are twins in the story. What a strange coincidence right?! Sadly, I'm no debutante and I certainly do not have a great sense for fashion :P

With the random fact aside, off with my review!

One look at the cover and blurb and I'm expecting some sort of bawl your eyes out kind of second chance romance, the first few chapters did sound promising, but when the Harry Potter reference made its appearance, I lost it.

YES, it was predictable. YES, it was cliched in every sense, but I have to give credit to Evangelista's writing because I snickered, smirked and swooned at Jax's multiple attempts to win back Natasha, . Jax's creativity knows no boundaries and I'm blown away by the length he is willing to go (of course being a billionaire helps to achieve some of that craziness) to prove that he wants Natasha back for real, literally. And God, Natasha's family did not give him an easy time. (Fav secondary character - Albert)

But in all seriousness, Jax was a romantic at heart and I love how vivid the writing was when it comes to describing their relationship. Although I wished that the author described their past even more and delve deeper into the heartbreak, it was a funny read filled with aww-worthy moments and holy-crap scenes.

Thoughts after finishing the book: I hope my boyfriend won't take my word literally the next time I asked him to bring me the stars (and that was actually my favorite scene in the book). Is that a spoiler?! I hope not! *insert close eyes emoji*

When Kate Evangelista was told she had a knack for writing stories, she did the next best thing: entered medical school. After realizing she wasn’t going to be the next Doogie Howser, M.D., Kate wandered into the Literature department of her university and never looked back. Today, she is a graduate of De La Salle University – Manila with an Bachelor of Arts in Literature. She taught high school English for three years and was an essay consultant for two. Currently she writes full time and is based in the Philippines. To learn more about Kate, please visit her website at www.kateevangelista.com or follow her on Twitter @KateEvangelista
