Follow Me Friday #5

Follow Me Friday is a weekly blog hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read . Check out their Blogs!

Q: When you’ve read a book, what do you do with it? (Keep it, give it away, donate it, sell it, swap it..?)

I am a very selfish, possessive person, once a book 'checked-in' my shelf, it never 'checked-out'. I never gave a book away nor did I sell or swap it, even when I borrow a book to someone I will worry until the person returns it to me, I swear it has become a constant paranoia! But I am aware that this has to change! That is why I am planning on doing giveaways to change that habit (or as I call it, a mental disorder). I am hoping that I could do a giveaway some day!

Please drop by my blog on December 20th to participate in my interview with Alexandra Lanc, the author of Clara Claus and stay tuned for more exciting news on the book! Clara Claus is a great book and a great choice to spend your Christmas time!

  1. I've always had difficulty in lending books out to others because many times I never get the book back or it comes back damaged (cracked spine, dog-eared pages, etc.) I'm a new follower!

  2. I wish I had enough space to keep all the books I read! I don't even buy books much anymore - I get most of them from the library.

  3. I sometimes worry when I loan books out too! It's only because I've loaned things to people in the past that came back damaged.

  5. I totally agree with you. Once a book is logged onto my bookshelves that is where it stays. Even when I eventually have giveaways on my blog, I will go out of my way to get a new book to the winner instead of giving one of my books away. I am way to shelf with my books. I guess it comes from being raised as an only child.

Thanks for coming by my blog =D

  8. It's hard not to worry, when one of your books are out on loan. I have a few that went out and never returned. I'm now more careful who I lend to. lol

  9. I only loan books to my sister, because I know I do not have to worry. My mother-in-law tries to borrow them, but I refuse because she is a smoker, and after she returned some of my books reeking like smoke. I refuse to loan them out to her. I saw you user name on another FF post and had to come visit a fellow Morganville fan!!
